2010 Conference - Phil Sanderson

Can we all get along with the silent killer?

Phil Sanderson, your current TEMSEA President, will place himself on the gauntlet during the 2010 conference by presented multiple topics of interest. The "3 G's, Can We All Get Along" will seek to identify key characteristics of multiple generations of learners who find themselves in our classroom. With the current state of the economy, and the average life expectancy, educators are being faced with individuals who are coming out of the high school crowd, middle of a career facilitated change, or second career post retirement individuals who all have different learning styles. Additionally, Mr. Sanderson will co-present another topic speaking to the challenges of having type A personality individuals in the program.

Just a little about Mr. Sanderson:

Phil is the Manager of EMS Operations for Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare Systems at Methodist University Hospital ED- Memphis, TN and Adjunct Faculty for Jackson State Community College. Phil is the current President of the Tennessee EMS Educators Association. He is a nineteen year veteran in the field of EMS, whose educational background consists of a Paramedic licensed in the state of Tennessee, Associates of Applied Science, Bachelors of Science in Management, and Masters of Science in Healthcare Administration. Phil is a presenter on a variety of topics at both EMS and Nursing conferences. He also teaches a mixture of healthcare providers ranging from EMTs, Paramedic’s, Nursing, and Physicians and holds instructor coordinator certifications from the American Heart Association, American Academy of Pediatrics, American Academy of Geriatrics, and the National Association of EMT. Phil lives in Humboldt, Tennessee.
