National EMS Week

It is National EMS week again (16 May -22 May) and as providers, educators, and leaders alike we can step back and bask in the enjoyment of a highly rewarding profession. I am sure that if I was to speak to each and everyone of you, I would be hard pressed to find a single individual that can easily take the time to step back and enjoy anything, but I want you to look at this week and understand that through all the hard work, you are appreciated.

With the access of the internet system and hi-speed connections, we can easily utilize resources such as google, bing, and yahoo search engines to find out all the key action that is going on across the country, and maybe even some events in "your neck of the woods" (thanks Al Roker). Through the use of social networking site Facebook, we can actually see many of the appreciation events that are being planned on the national scene. If you are a practioner, please thank your leaders and educators...if you are an educator, thank your students, if you are a leader please thank your providers. If it wasn't for all of us in this field we wouldn't be able to provide the high quality of service that our communities have come to know.
